“I’m Danny, and you look like you just came face to face with a brick wall. Let me guess… he had a difference of opinion…”
Still a bit wounded by Phillip’s harsh words, Suzi feels herself becoming guarded. “You could say that… ya…”
Danny quickly asses her behavior and adjusts his own accordingly doing what he can to open her up once more, “Aw, well don’t let him get you down. We aren’t all pigheaded, opinionated jerks.”


Suzi smiles faintly staying skeptical yet willing to hope Danny is right. “Thank you… Danny, right? How about if we talk about you instead of him?”
Danny smiles back, relaxed and assured, “Sure thing. I don’t talk much about others anyhow. Karma… yanno?”
Suzi is pleasantly surprised, “Yes, I do know.”


“Yup, the last thing I need is karma coming down on me in a bad way. I’d like to stick around for a while and hopefully get to know you better. I mean, its not often that someone hears me go on about karma and ‘gets’ me. Usually they give me that wide eyed look on their face… you know the one… the one that says, oh Gods this guy is a freak and I need to get as far away from him as possible.”
“Oh no, I completely agree with you as far as karma is concerned. It can be a tricky thing. It’s always best to stay on the good side of karma.” Suzi feels herself sinking in this conversation. She has this sudden urge to flee.


Danny’s voice softens, his enthusiasm dying down as he looks at her. “You’re giving me that look… maybe… I was wrong?”
Suzi panics, “Of course not. I do truly believe in karma. I just need to meet everyone today and I am trying not to spend too much time with just one person… to keep things fair…”


Danny gives a slow nod, “sure… it was nice meeting you, Suzi.”
“It’s nice to meet you too, Danny. Thanks for cheering me up.”
Suzi swallows hard as she clearly hears his feelings of rejection in his words, “my pleasure.”


Suzi hesitantly steps up to the next guy and gives a small smile, “Hi.”
Gilbert gives an easy grin, “I was wondering when you’d make your way to me… I’m Gilbert.”
Suzi gasps softly, as the realization hits her, “You’re the deep voice!”
Gilbert chuckles, “you could say that.”


Suzi looks relieved, “I was drowning out there until you said that. I wanted to thank you.”
“My pleasure… I noticed the obvious change in your demeanor.”
“Well I couldn’t just let you get away with that, now could I?” Suzi laughs and shakes her head, “If I had reacted in any other way, you would have been disappointed.”
“Oh I don’t know, being invited to your room would have been more to my liking…”


“You are such a liar… and not a very good one… you don’t want a push over like that. You need someone to challenge you.”
It was Gilbert’s turn to laugh, “You think you know me already do you?”
“Maybe, maybe not… I just know men love a challenge.” Suzi looks him in the eyes challenging him to disagree.
Gilbert simply smiles confidently and holds her gaze, his eyes holding hers until she drops her head suddenly blushing once more.


“Mhm, you like me…”
Suzi wit rises to the occasion once more, “perhaps… perhaps not…”
Gilbert’s confident smirk firmly in place, “You’ll see… even if we don’t end up together… we’ll end up together… we’re too much alike.”
Suzi finds herself utterly speechless, her cheeks hot with a deep blush, “I … oh…”

The screen fades as the logo flashes across the screen with the announcer’s voice heard clearly over the music, “Farmer Wants will return shortly.”
